Maliau Basin is one of Malaysia finest remain wilderness destination yet to be explored. The isolated and mysterious Maliau Basin, also know as Sabah’s Lost World which contain of over 1,800 species of flora including at least 6 species of pitcher plants and more than 80 species of orchid. The rare Rafflesia tengku-adlinii has also been found in Maliau Basin. Endangered wildlife species including the Sumatran Rhinoceros, Bangteng, Orang Utan and Proboscis monkey, other among the over 80 mammal species so far comfirmed included Borneo pygmy Elephant, Clouded Leopard and Malayan Sun bear.
